Kerim Rahmi Koc, one of the next-generation names linked to Türkiye’s Koc family, has chosen Babson College in Boston for his university education after completing his studies at the Koc High School.
According to Patronlar Dunyasi, Koc, who has often been seen in Fenerbahce stands with his friends and at times with his father Ali Koc, will now move to the United States for higher education.
Babson College is described in the report as a relatively small institution in Boston, yet one whose influence is seen as larger than many major universities because of its focus on entrepreneurship.
Educators cited in the report underline that entrepreneurship is part of Babson’s “DNA.” The school is known for a practical approach that encourages students not only to study business, but also to set up companies, manage real money, speak with investors, fail, recover and build up experience before graduation.
The report also points to Babson’s alumni network as one of the school’s strongest features. Among its graduates are Akio Toyoda of Toyota, Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank, former PepsiCo CEO Roger Enrico, Ring founder Jamie Siminoff and Swiss billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli.
Rather than presenting Babson only as a school linked to strong careers, the report frames its alumni network as part of a wider global business map.
Publicly available information cited in the report lists rally driver Burcu Cetinkaya and tennis player Yagmur Akgul among Babson's Turkish alumni.
Other names mentioned include Yigit Tatis, Ayse Onen Dardanel, Ozcan Tahincioglu, Selim Tezman of Tezman Holding, Osman Talu and Ibrahim Barut.
The report notes that Kerim Rahmi Koc, once seen chanting in the stands in a Fenerbahce jacket, is now entering one of the world’s best-known entrepreneurship networks.
