Turkish Denizbank Moscow’s deputy director dies after heart attack

Koray Akefe, the deputy director of Türkiye-based Denizbank in Moscow, capital of Russia, died of a heart attack on Dec. 25 at the age of 50.

Starting his career at Yapi Kredi Bank Moscow in 2008, Akefe joined Denizbank Moscow in 2011. Married with two children, he most recently served as deputy general director responsible for corporate and commercial banking.

Akefe’s funeral will be held in his hometown of Izmir, Türkiye where he will be laid to rest, Turkish media reports.
