The Trade Winds forum in Istanbul serves as a pivotal platform, bringing together U.S. and Turkish businesses to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence while reinforcing bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries

The Trade Winds event, the largest United States government-led trade mission and business development forum, returned to Türkiye’s Istanbul for the second time – reflecting the city’s strategic location between Asia and Europe.

Organized under the theme “The Power of AI in Fostering Inclusivity and Innovation,” the three-day event attracted significant attention from U.S. firms, highlighting the market opportunities offered by Türkiye.

Heather Byrnes, U.S. Counselor for Commercial Affairs, emphasized the importance U.S. companies place on the event and the opportunities presented by the host country.

Etienne LeBailly, U.S. Economy Counselor, praised Türkiye’s geographic advantages and high-quality industry, which make it an ideal market for U.S. companies.

Canan Ozsoy, Vice Chair of AmCham Türkiye, emphasized the strategic value U.S. businesses create for Türkiye and the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.

Marisa Lago, Counselor for International Trade under the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, noted the progress made in achieving gender parity in both Türkiye and the U.S. and highlighted the impact of artificial intelligence on business operations, advocating for its use to promote diversity and inclusivity.
