The seventh International Ephesus Opera and Ballet Festival, organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, will be held from June 29 to July 13. This year’s festival features a diverse program including two operas, two ballets, two musicals and one children’s opera. Renowned international guest artists will perform at the historic Ephesus Ancient Theatre.

The festival will kick off on June 29 with a performance of Swan Lake by the Izmir State Opera and Ballet.

Production will feature the Izmir State Opera and Ballet Dance Company alongside principal dancers Lana Salenko and Marian Walter from the Berlin State Ballet.

On July 5, the festival will present the premiere of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s renowned opera, “The Marriage of Figaro”.

This performance by the Izmir State Opera and Ballet will mark its debut at the Ephesus Ancient Theatre.

The globally acclaimed opera “Tosca” will be staged by the Mersin State Opera and Ballet on July 10 at the same venue.

The festival will conclude with the “Zorba” ballet, a dynamic fusion of energy and passion set to the music of Mikis Theodorakis.
