Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar strongly condemned recent Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Thursday that killed civilians, including women and children, warning that the escalation threatens ongoing efforts to implement the ceasefire, as Gaza's Health Ministry reported the territory's overall death toll had passed 73,400.

In a joint statement, the three countries, acting as mediators, expressed "deep concern" over the ongoing violations.

"The mediating countries underline that the intensification of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical juncture, as intensive efforts are underway to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, including the meeting between the Board of Peace and Israeli officials, and constructive steps are being taken in the negotiation process," the statement said.

"The mediating countries stress the imperative for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to refrain from actions that could further undermine the ceasefire and escalate tensions," the statement added.

Pointing to what they called the "devastating consequences of the continued Israeli aggression" in the region, the three countries renewed their call on the international community and the Board of Peace to take action.

"In view of the devastating consequences of the continued Israeli aggression in the region, the mediating countries reiterate their call on the international community and the Board of Peace, under the leadership of President Trump and as endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, to take the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the ceasefire and to exert effective pressure to prevent further escalation," the statement said.

Gaza death toll passes 73,400

Ten Palestinians were killed and 25 others wounded over the past 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, Gaza's Health Ministry said Thursday, raising the overall death toll since October 2023 to 73,417.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry said Gaza hospitals received 10 bodies and 25 injured people over the past day.

The ministry did not specify the circumstances surrounding the latest casualties, as the Israeli army has continued what the ministry described as violations of the October 2025 ceasefire through shelling and gunfire across different parts of the territory.

A number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, with ambulance and civil defense crews still unable to reach them, the ministry said.

The death toll from what the ministry described as Israeli violations of the truce has risen to 1,283, with 4,248 others injured. The ministry said the overall toll since October 2023 has reached 73,417 killed and 174,360 wounded.

Beyond the casualties, the campaign has caused widespread destruction, damaging about 90% of Gaza's civilian infrastructure, with the United Nations estimating reconstruction costs at around $70 billion.
