Six fugitives listed on Interpol Red Notices and four others wanted nationally have been captured abroad and extradited to Türkiye, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Sunday.

The fugitives were sought for a range of criminal charges, including drug trafficking, sexual abuse, assault, fraud, and terrorism-related offenses.

Red Notices, issued by Interpol, request international cooperation in locating and provisionally arresting individuals pending extradition.

Fugitives detained across Europe, Georgia

According to Yerlikaya, A.M., wanted for drug manufacturing, was captured in Bulgaria, while N.C., sought for child sexual abuse, was detained in Poland. A.C.B., charged with drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, was apprehended in Georgia.

Two others, B.Y. and M.S., both wanted on multiple charges including threats, assault, fraud, and endangering traffic safety, were also captured in Georgia. Another fugitive, S.S., wanted for tax law violations, was similarly caught in Georgia.

Nationally wanted fugitives captured in Germany, Cyprus, Lebanon

In addition to the Red Notice arrests, four fugitives listed on Türkiye’s national wanted list were also returned to the country.

E.E., sought for child sexual abuse and making threats, was detained in Germany. Two others, S.K. and E.G., both wanted for firearms offenses, assault, and robbery, were apprehended in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Meanwhile, C.S., wanted for membership in an armed terrorist organization, was captured in Lebanon.

Yerlikaya underlined that the captures were made possible through close cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the respective countries. He stated that Türkiye continues to track fugitives abroad with determination and will ensure their return to face justice.
