CaucasusWarReport made claims on social media platform X, stating, "We won't comment too much until the official details are released, but Armenia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement on the Zangezur corridor during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent visit to Türkiye. Strategic importance of Zangezur Corridor

The Zangezur corridor's opening carries significant implications for regional connectivity and economic development.

The victory of Azerbaijan at the end of the Second Karabakh War led to the reshaping of the balance of power in the region, with transportation corridors emerging as a key component of post-war agreements.

If implemented effectively, a route connecting Central Asia and Europe through the Caspian and Türkiye would exist with unrestricted access. This development could increase Türkiye's trade volume not only with Azerbaijan but also with the entire region.

The Zangezur corridor is located in a region of interest to several countries, including Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Türkiye, however the opening of the Zangezur corridor would strengthen economic, logistic, and political ties among Turkic states.

The development would support the Trans-Caspian Transport Route and the International North-South Transport Corridor, strengthening Eurasia's supply lines and transit position.

The corridor aims to connect Europe with Central Asia and China through the Azerbaijan-Türkiye route.
