After a disappointing fourth-place finish in the Super Lig, Besiktas has decided to shift its transfer strategy, opting to pursue two high-profile players that could excite fans and re-energize the squad.

Club President Serdal Adali, who recently declared, "I will continue to give Besiktas my time, my life, and my money," has changed direction in the club’s transfer policy. Though an initial agreement with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had focused on building a balanced team, the leadership now aims to make headline-grabbing moves.

Following internal discussions, the board reached a consensus that marquee signings are needed to reignite enthusiasm among supporters and inspire the current roster.

Strategy shift: Star signings in the works

President Adali has already tasked club executives with securing two major transfers. These potential additions are expected to resonate not only in Türkiye but across Europe. However, before new players arrive, the club must first part ways with several members who are not part of the long-term plan.

The new approach will not affect the scouting activities of Eduard Graf, head of recruitment. Graf will continue identifying young talent across Europe with high potential to strengthen Besiktas for the future.

Fiorentina Eyes Immobile

Meanwhile, Serie A side Fiorentina has shown interest in Besiktas striker Ciro Immobile. The experienced forward, who earns €6 million ($6.86 million) annually and has one year left on his contract, could be transferred. If a deal materializes, Besiktas would gain significant financial flexibility.
