"A total of 315 athletes from 27 countries participated in the European Championships, with Türkiye represented by 12 athletes in the U21 categories. This competition marked the highest participation in the European Indoor Championships to date," the Turkish Archery Federation said.
"Despite this high participation, each of our athletes managed to return from the competition with a medal," the Turkish Archery Federation added in a statement.
Yusuf Goktug Ergin, technical director of the Turkish National Archery Teams, evaluated the championship in a post shared on Instagram.
He noted that 11 athletes returned home with medals from what was the highest-participation European Indoor Championships in history.
Ergin emphasized that the results demonstrate the strength of Türkiye's development system, the dedicated work of local clubs, and the disciplined efforts of coaches.
"The performance demonstrated by our young athletes is a strong indicator for the future of Turkish archery," Ergin said.
"Our goal is to transform the potential of our young athletes into a lasting culture of success and to continue representing Turkish archery at the highest international level through a sustainable and systematic structure," he added.
