The list of teams qualified for the FIFA World Cup last 32 has been updated following Friday’s group-stage matches, with several nations securing their places in the knockout round of the expanded 48-team tournament.
The confirmed qualifiers are Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Morocco, the United States, Germany, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, France, Norway, Argentina, Colombia, Australia, England, Ghana, Egypt, Paraguay, Spain, Belgium, Senegal, Cape Verde and Portugal.
The qualification picture continued to take shape as results from completed groups determined the teams advancing either through the top-two positions or as one of the eight best third-place sides.
The 2026 edition marks the first World Cup featuring 48 teams, with the tournament structure expanded to include a round of 32 before the traditional knockout stages.
Teams are now competing not only for the top two positions in their groups but also for additional qualification spots available to the strongest third-placed finishers.
