In the sixth week of Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray triumphed over Fenerbahce with a commanding 3-1 victory in a highly anticipated derby.

Galatasaray establishes early dominance

Galatasaray established dominance early in the match, taking a strong lead by halftime:

20th minute: Dominik Livakovic opened the scoring for Galatasaray with an own goal.
28th minute: Dries Mertens doubled the lead, bringing the score to 2-0 by the end of the first half.

Continuing their momentum into the second half, Galatasaray secured their victory with further scoring:

59th minute: Gabriel Davi Gomes netted the third goal, extending the lead to 3-0.
63nd minute: Fenerbahce found the net when Edin Dzeko converted a penalty, making it 3-1.
