South Korea defeats Australia 2-1 in a dramatic victory during extra time

South Korea secured a spot in the Asian Cup semi-finals with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory against Australia after extra time in the quarterfinals at Al Janoub Stadium. 

It was a dramatic victory for South Korea, as Australia had beaten them with the same scoreline in extra time during the 2015 final. 

South Korea will now face Jordan in the semi-final, following Jordan’s 1-0 win against Tajikistan earlier on the same day.

This victory has ignited hopes for South Korea to grab the third Asian Cup title and a first since 1960.
