Türkiye's UEFA country coefficient climbed to 46.875 following the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round, in which Istanbul club Fenerbahce drew 1-1 at home against French side Lyon on Tuesday.
According to figures published on UEFA's official website, Türkiye now ranks ninth among European football associations in the country coefficient standings.
The country coefficient determines how many places and at what qualifying stage each nation's clubs enter UEFA's three annual club competitions the following season. A higher ranking generally means more direct qualification spots and lighter qualifying schedules for a country's top clubs.
The updated table places Türkiye directly behind the Netherlands, which holds eighth position, and ahead of 10th-placed Poland. The top five nations are England with 98.519 points, Italy with 84.232, Spain with 78.618, Germany with 76.688, and France with 65.296. Türkiye sits in ninth with 46.875.
Turkish clubs' remaining fixtures in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifying and play-off rounds will continue to shape the coefficient over the coming weeks, with the outcome affecting the country's seeding and access to future European competitions.
