5 new ambassadors appointed to represent Türkiye
Türkiye has appointed new ambassadors to five countries, with the latest appointments published in the Official Gazette on Saturday.
The appointments, made under the authority of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will see new diplomats assuming leadership at Türkiye’s embassies in Japan, Austria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago and Cameroon.
New appointments to key diplomatic posts
According to the official decree, the following appointments have been made:
- Ambassador to Japan: Oguzhan Ertugrul, the General Director of Bilateral Relations, will now represent Türkiye in Japan.
- Ambassador to Austria: Gursel Donmez has been appointed as the new ambassador to Austria.
- Ambassador to Tanzania: Bekir Gezer has been assigned as the ambassador to Tanzania.
- Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago: Ayse Selcan Sanli, the Deputy Director-General of Diplomatic Archives, will take up her post in Trinidad and Tobago.
- Ambassador to Cameroon: Volkan Oskiper, the Deputy Director-General of NATO and European-Atlantic Security and Defense, has been appointed to Cameroon.
