FM Hakan Fidan to visit Azerbaijan to discuss bilateral, regional issues

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will travel to Azerbaijan on Saturday for a working visit, during which he will meet his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, and President Ilham Aliyev.

Talks to focus on bilateral and regional issues

According to sources from the Foreign Ministry, Fidan's discussions with Bayramov will address a wide range of bilateral political, military, economic, trade, transportation and energy topics.

The two nations aim to increase their total trade volume to $15 billion, and potential steps toward achieving this target will be on the agenda. Efforts to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including culture, tourism, health, education, and agriculture, will also be discussed.

Regional and global developments on agenda

Minister Fidan is also expected to exchange views with Bayramov on the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, as well as other pressing regional and global issues, including developments in Syria, Gaza and Ukraine.

As part of his visit, Fidan will be received by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
