Armenia officially recognizes State of Palestine, condemning Israeli actions
Armenia announced on Friday that it has officially recognized the State of Palestine.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Armenia affirmed its commitment to international law and the principles of equality, sovereignty, and peaceful coexistence among peoples.
The ministry highlighted Armenia’s previous support for U.N. General Assembly resolutions advocating for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, where it cited over 37,000 Palestinian casualties since last October.
Armenia further condemned Israeli actions targeting civilian infrastructure and violence against the civilian population.
