Turkish defense firm Havelsan delivered its ADVENT combat management system and FLEETSTAR ship data distribution system to the Indonesian Navy, marking the company's first delivery in Far Asia.

The Network Supported Data Integrated Combat Management System ADVENT and Ship Data Distribution System FLEETSTAR were delivered aboard the KRI BELATI-622 fast attack craft following acceptance activities.

Sea acceptance and live fire tests of ADVENT and FLEETSTAR, integrated into the Indonesian Navy's KCR-60 platform, were completed.

Following the acceptance activities, the systems were delivered to the Naval Forces Command on the KRI Belati-622 fast attack craft, with hull number 622.

The platform, built by Indonesian company PT TESCO INDOMARITIM Shipyard, holds special significance for Havelsan's foreign operations.

Indonesian Navy inaugurates hybrid-powered warship

Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Muhammad Ali, inaugurated the KRI Belati-622, a 60-meter missile fast attack craft, at Pluit Naval Base in Jakarta. Built by local shipbuilder Tesco Indomaritim, the vessel is the country's first warship to feature a hybrid propulsion system powered by biofuel.

"This ship is highly fuel-efficient, can operate longer, and is environmentally friendly thanks to its biodiesel capability," Ali said at the naming ceremony.

The KRI Belati-622 is equipped with advanced weapons and SEWACO, a combat management system developed through partnerships between Indonesian defense firms and Turkish companies, including Havelsan, Roketsan, and Aselsan.

Ali noted that such collaborations open opportunities for more domestic shipbuilders to work with global defense contractors.

During acceptance tests, ADVENT's superior performance and directive interventions made by Havelsan officials to subsystems were appreciated by the test team SATGAS, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and PT TESCO INDOMARITIM Shipyard.

KRI BELATI-622 is the first ADVENT Combat Management System and the first FLEETSTAR Ship Data Distribution System project delivered by Havelsan in Indonesia.

Havelsan General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that the company initiated the project in collaboration with the Indonesian local company PT TESCO INDOMARITIM Shipyard, under a contract signed in 2022.

"As a result of a very productive and harmonious work with the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and PT TESCO Shipyard, we made our first delivery for the KRI BELATI-622 platform," Nacar said, adding, "Our ADVENT Combat Management System and FLEETSTAR Ship Data Distribution System demonstrated superior success on this platform, just as on Turkish Naval Forces platforms."

"We aim to continue and increase our success in this project on OPV-90, Merah Putih and other KCR-60, KCR-70 class platforms. I thank everyone who contributed to the project," he noted.

KRI Belati-622 specifications

The KRI Belati-622 has a length of 62 meters, a width of nine meters, and a height of five meters.

The vessel weighs 500 tons, with a capacity for 62 personnel and a maximum speed of 30 knots.

KRI Belati-622 is also equipped with a combat management system and modern weapons, including Roketsan Atmaca surface-to-surface missiles, one unit of Leonardo Marlin 40 RC 40mm cannon, and two units of 20mm cannon.

With these weapons, the KRI Belati-622 is capable of conducting combat missions while maintaining optimal maritime security patrols.
