Ukraine is ready to take part in any round of talks “regardless of format,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Friday, including meetings involving President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, or U.S. President Donald Trump.
He said during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum that Ukraine would accept an unconditional ceasefire but would reject any peace terms that threatened its territorial integrity, including withdrawal from Donbas.
Sybiha was unambiguous on Ukraine's readiness for talks.
"We are ready to participate in every meeting. I want to say that we are ready for every meeting that will take place between Zelenskyy and Putin, between Zelensky and President Erdogan, or perhaps between Zelenskyy and Trump," he said.
He called Türkiye home to "unique diplomatic experience" and said its role in Ukraine's peace efforts was significant.
"An American delegation visit to Ukraine was also expected," he noted.
Sybiha drew a clear line between what Kyiv would and would not accept.
"The Ukrainian side agrees to an unconditional ceasefire," he said, but added that the 20-point Russian peace plan contained terms Kyiv could not accept, such as withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas.
"Ukraine will not adopt any provision that would undermine our territorial integrity," he noted.
He said Russia was losing approximately 30,000 soldiers per month and that Putin "cannot achieve his objectives on the battlefield."
He also claimed Ukraine currently holds more than 300 non-Russian foreign soldiers as prisoners of war, noting that troops from Asian and African countries are serving in Russia's military.
Russia had launched 700 drones and 40 missiles at Ukrainian cities the previous day, Sybiha said, adding that large-scale attacks were expected to continue.
Sybiha offered an explicit endorsement of Türkiye's defense-industrial self-sufficiency as a model that Ukraine should emulate.
"Türkiye, as far as I remember, can meet about 80% of its own army's needs; that is a remarkable fact," he said, noting that Ukraine also needed to strengthen its national defense capacity and reduce external dependency.
Sybiha described Hungary's election result, the defeat of Viktor Orban, as an "Easter" moment for Ukraine and said it opened a new opportunity for EU integration and membership.
He said he was closely following reports of U.S. Vice President Vance's calls for support for Orban and said Kyiv aimed to open "a new chapter" in relations with Budapest.
On the U.S., Sybiha said Ukraine had come through its most difficult diplomatic period with Washington and expressed appreciation for Trump's support and efforts.
He noted Ukraine needs to purchase U.S. Patriot air defense systems and said cooperation with American counterparts was at a good level.
He noted that approximately 8 million Ukrainians were living abroad due to the war, and said Ukraine was ready to hold elections during a ceasefire period if proper security conditions were met.
