The Kremlin criticized Western capitals on Saturday, describing their response to Russian President Vladimir Putin's Ukraine peace proposal as "unconstructive."

In an interview with the Russian state news agency TASS, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov highlighted the abundance of comments from Western leaders regarding Putin's initiative, characterizing them as largely "unconstructive."

"We've seen a substantial number of comments, official reactions, and statements. Most of them were of an unconstructive nature," Peskov asserted.

Putin had presented a peace plan on Friday, outlining four conditions: Ukrainian troop withdrawal from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions; recognition of Russia's territorial gains; Ukraine's confirmation of its neutral status; and the lifting of all Western sanctions against Russia.

Both Ukraine and Western countries dismissed the proposal as "unrealistic."
