The violations, described as "unprecedented" by Polish authorities, have prompted coordinated responses from the United Kingdom, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, France, and the European Union, highlighting concerns about European security amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The incidents come amid renewed diplomatic efforts to support Ukraine and pressure Russia toward a peaceful resolution, with multiple leaders emphasizing solidarity with Poland and broader NATO commitments.
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the U.K. will continue to increase pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin until a fair and lasting peace is achieved. Starmer also condemned Israel’s airstrike on Hamas negotiators in Doha, calling it a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and “counterproductive to peace efforts.” He spoke with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in London, with plans to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog to address aid restrictions and condemn violence.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Moldovan President Maia Sandu discussed the latest developments, jointly condemning Russian drone violations of Polish airspace and focusing on regional security and Moldova’s European integration.
