Türkiye-based low-cost carrier AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, announced Wednesday that it has signed a leasing agreement with two global aviation finance firms, Avolon and Carlyle Aviation Partners, for 14 new Airbus A321neo aircraft.

The agreement, unveiled at the Paris Air Show, foresees the aircraft joining AJet’s fleet in 2026 as part of the airline’s broader effort to boost sustainability and improve operational efficiency, the company said.
Turkish Airlines and AJet Chairman Ahmet Bolat described the agreement as a strategic step in line with the airline’s long-term goals. He emphasized that AJet had quickly grown into a key player in the aviation sector and that this deal would help strengthen its young and environmentally friendly fleet.
“This strategic move will improve our operational efficiency and enhance passenger satisfaction,” he said. “As Turkish Airlines, we are committed to building a more accessible and competitive future alongside our subsidiaries.”
The Airbus A321neo is known for its fuel-saving and environmentally friendly features, aligning with AJet’s aim to offer a greener air travel experience. Each aircraft can carry up to 244 passengers and has a range of 7,400 kilometers (4,598.15 miles).
Compared to previous models, the A321neo offers 20% fuel savings, 20% lower carbon emissions, and a 50% reduction in noise levels. These features are expected to contribute significantly to AJet’s sustainability targets while supporting its operational performance.
