Antalya, one of Türkiye’s top coastal destinations, set a new record in July 2025 for the highest number of foreign tourists arriving in a single day by air. On Saturday, 102,006 international visitors landed at Antalya and Gazipasa airports, according to an official statement by Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
This milestone marks the highest single-day figure ever recorded in July, reflecting a strong upward trend that began earlier in the month. The minister noted that the acceleration started on July 11, when 100,681 foreign arrivals were reported.
The recent surge in arrivals brings Antalya just short of its all-time single-day tourism record of 102,755 visitors, which was set in August last year. Minister Ersoy described July’s performance as the peak of a rising momentum, underlining the city’s growing appeal during the summer holiday season.
Between Jan. 1 and July 19, Antalya welcomed 7.87 million foreign tourists by air, highlighting the region’s sustained popularity among international travelers.
Ersoy emphasized that Antalya continues to be a global tourism hotspot, attracting visitors with its sunny climate, pristine beaches, rich historical heritage, and strong hospitality infrastructure.
He also credited the recent success to the efforts of industry professionals, saying, “With the ‘Century of Türkiye’ vision, I sincerely thank all our sector stakeholders who have contributed to this achievement in tourism.”
