Elon Musk's SpaceX billion-dollar satellite internet network Starlink, is experiencing service outages in many regions, primarily in the U.S.
While tens of thousands of users reported connection problems, the company confirmed that the service was temporarily unavailable and announced that “efforts to resolve the issue are ongoing.”
Elon Musk's Starlink suffered a global outage, with efforts underway. SpaceX's multi-billion-dollar satellite network, Starlink, which is developed to provide global internet access, is currently facing a widespread service outage. Many users in Europe, particularly in the U.S., reported that their internet connection was suddenly cut off on Thursday and took their complaints to online platforms.
According to DownDetector, the Maryland-Washington DC corridor, Northern California, the interior of Texas, and the eastern regions of Indiana are among the areas most affected by the outage. Posts on the social media platform X also indicated that similar issues were being experienced across Europe.
Starlink confirmed in an official statement that the service was temporarily unavailable and that engineering teams were working to resolve the issue. Elon Musk, the company's owner, also stated on his X account that intensive efforts were being made to restore connectivity and that a permanent solution was being worked on to prevent a similar situation from occurring again.
While no official statement has been made regarding the cause of the outage, SpaceX sources and authorities have reported that no evidence of a potential cyber attack has been found to restore service and prevent future issues.
