GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest and most influential technology exhibitions, concluded in Dubai after uniting leading global companies, startups, and investors under one roof to highlight groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of technology.
Held from Oct. 13–17 at the Dubai World Trade Center, the 45th edition of GITEX Global hosted more than 6,800 firms from 180 countries, including 60 from Türkiye.
The event featured global technology giants such as Google, Huawei, IBM, and Microsoft, along with over 40 unicorn startups valued at more than $1 billion. Around 2,000 startups took part, with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman joining via an online session to discuss advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).
Approximately 80% of the participants came from outside the United Arab Emirates, underscoring the fair’s global importance and diverse participation.
Türkiye made a strong debut with the joint “Turcorn-Invest in Türkiye” pavilion, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Investment Office. The pavilion aimed to strengthen Türkiye’s global image as an innovative and technology-driven economy while promoting investment and partnership opportunities.
Sixty Turkish companies operating in fields including cybersecurity, fintech, AI, and robotics showcased their latest solutions. Through the Turcorn 100 program, the ministry also brought together “Turcorn” (Turkish unicorn) candidate startups with foreign investors to explore cooperation in Dubai.
The next iteration of the event will be held in Türkiye under the name “GITEX Ai Türkiye” from Sept. 9–10, 2026, in Istanbul. The upcoming event aims to build on the success of GITEX Global by further connecting technology ecosystems across continents.
Trixie LohMirmand, executive vice president of the Dubai World Trade Center, said that emerging smart economies, represented at GITEX across four continents and 14 countries, will help shape the global dialogue on AI and digital transformation.
