Türkiye’s pomegranate exports exceeded $162 million in 2025, with shipments reaching 62 countries, according to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly.
Türkiye exported pomegranates worth $162.56 million in 2025, marking a 4.22% increase compared with the previous year. Germany was the top destination, importing $34.1 million worth of pomegranates, followed by Iraq with $26.2 million and Russia with $22 million.
Companies affiliated with the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association accounted for 37.71% of Türkiye’s total pomegranate exports.
The provinces of Antalya, Isparta and Burdur, which operate under the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association, led pomegranate production and exports nationwide.
Exports from the region rose 7.18% year-on-year, reaching $61.3 million in 2025, making it the leading area for both production and overseas sales.
Western Mediterranean Exporters Association Chairman Umit Mirza Cavusoglu said the fruit export sector faced a challenging year due to agricultural frost.
He said exports of many fruits declined, but pomegranates performed strongly thanks to production levels.
“Last year, pomegranate was the fruit that put a smile on our faces in exports,” Cavusoglu said. “We managed to increase exports, which is encouraging. Our exports exceeded $60 million.”
Cavusoglu said pomegranates ranked sixth among the region’s most exported products and noted that the Western Mediterranean has significant potential in both pomegranate production and export capacity.
