Chinese online retail platform Temu, which has grown rapidly in the global e-commerce arena, announced that it has officially entered the Turkish market by establishing an operations hub in Istanbul, aiming to offer one-day delivery services to Turkish customers.

According to a social media advertisement published by Temu, with its new operations center in Istanbul, the company plans to roll out “next-business-day delivery” services across the country.

Türkiye-based invoicing for local transactions

Temu’s entry into the Turkish market first materialized in late 2024, when the company began processing payments through a newly established local entity in Türkiye, transitioning away from its previous structure based in Dublin, Ireland.

The company has also registered with the local tax authorities, enabling it to issue invoices to customers through its Turkish subsidiary.

Domestic warehousing to cut customs costs, speed up deliveries

In addition to its operations in Türkiye, Temu has made similar moves in the United States and Europe by setting up local warehousing networks. This strategic logistical decision is aimed at bypassing high customs duties and improving last-mile delivery efficiency. The company’s new facility in Türkiye is expected to help lower overall costs and significantly reduce delivery times, giving it a competitive edge in the local market.

Temu has supported its launch in Türkiye with a series of promotional offers, including free shipping and discounted first orders.
