Europe’s top tourism company TUI has intensified efforts to extend the tourism season in Türkiye and Greece until November.
CEO Sebastian Ebel emphasized that climate conditions are favorable and global demand remains strong, stating, “During this period, the weather in Greece and Antalya will likely be excellent. We are in constant communication with hotels and see ourselves as an inspiration for this effort.”
The company is conducting advanced negotiations with local businesses and hoteliers to keep facilities open in October and November. TUI’s strategy aims to offer travelers attractive prices, less crowded environments, and favorable weather conditions during quieter periods.
According to Ebel’s data, the U.K. market is already 89% sold for the summer of 2025. Across the group, the summer period, including October, has reached 90% in sales.
The company also sees the largely untapped city break market as a significant growth opportunity for the October-November period.
With climate change extending periods of good weather, TUI plans to position Türkiye and Greece as top destinations not only during summer but also in autumn.
