Turkish Airlines has extended special travel rights for passengers flying to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon until June 30, following the disruption of regional air travel triggered by heightened tensions between Israel and Iran.
On June 13, Türkiye suspended all flights to the five countries after several of them closed their airspaces in response to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. The suspension, initially set to last until June 16, has disrupted travel plans for passengers across the region.
According to the airline’s announcement, passengers holding tickets issued on or before June 13 for flights scheduled between June 13 and June 30 will be eligible for free rebooking until June 30. Travelers with unused tickets may request a full refund without penalty. For tickets that have been partially used, refunds will be issued for the unused portion at no additional cost.
In addition, passengers may extend the validity of their tickets until July 31 without paying any fare differences or cancellation fees.
Turkish Airlines stated that the measures apply solely to flights operated by the company. Ticket changes and refund requests can be submitted via the airline’s website, mobile application, or official sales channels.
