A powerful Turkish defense delegation, led by SAHA Istanbul and featuring major industry players Aselsan, Roketsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and Sarsilmaz, will participate in the International Defense Fair and Conference (SIDEC 2025) in Slovenia this week.
The delegation will join under the Turkish Pavilion, established under the leadership of the Turkish Defense Industries Secretariat, at the fair beginning Tuesday and running until Oct. 24.
The event, considered one of Europe’s key defense and aerospace gatherings, will host 165 companies from 19 countries.
SAHA Istanbul said the participation aims to promote Türkiye's industrial capabilities, strengthen its technological networks, and build new strategic partnerships in Europe.
The cluster will deepen its cooperation with GOIS, Slovenia's leading defense cluster, under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2023. Business-to-business (B2B) meetings will focus on joint production, technology sharing, and supply chain integration.
These activities will further SAHA Istanbul’s industrial diplomacy efforts and support Türkiye’s export-oriented defense strategy.
SIDEC 2025 will also serve as a strategic platform for the upcoming SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair, which will be held in Istanbul from May 5 to 9, 2026.
SAHA 2026 aims to bring together participants from over 120 countries and 1,478 companies, with a targeted business volume exceeding $6 billion.
The SAHA Istanbul delegation will hold talks with potential exhibitors and discuss Slovenia’s participation in SAHA 2026 with a national pavilion.
Alongside the defense fair, SAHA Istanbul will also conduct promotional and collaborative activities for the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), which will be hosted by Türkiye for the first time in Antalya.
Organized in cooperation with the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and under the auspices of SAHA MUEK (the National Space Ecosystem Committee), IAC 2026 will mark a milestone for Türkiye’s growing presence in the global space industry.
During SIDEC 2025, the SAHA Istanbul delegation will meet with European space technology firms to encourage participation and sponsorship opportunities for the Antalya congress, further enhancing cooperation in defense and aerospace technologies.
