British Minister for AI and Online Safety Kanishka Narayan met with members of Türkiye’s Dijitalpark Technokent during a visit to the U.K., aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation and attract new foreign investors, the technology zone said Monday.
Türkiye’s rapidly expanding technology and innovation ecosystem, combined with the Türkiye-U.K. trade volume reaching $22 billion, is helping create a strong economic base for new partnerships, according to a statement by Dijitalpark Technokent.
During their U.K. visit, Dijitalpark Technokent representatives held talks not only with Narayan but also with the Turkish-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI), as well as Tech Nation and Level39, two major British organizations that support technology ventures and startups.
Dijitalpark Technokent CEO Tahsin Engin said their core mission is to connect Turkish entrepreneurs with the global investment ecosystem.
“We work to bring our startups together with the right institutions and connect them with the right investors from international markets,” Engin said.
He added that Dijitalpark plans to host a joint forum with the Turkish British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI) at the Technokent’s Tech in Cube center to advance cooperation.
Engin emphasized that Dijitalpark’s thematic fintech program, FINEXT, is now open to international participation.
“Next year, we aim to take our FINEXT program one step further by holding its Demo Day event in London,” he said.
“This will provide Turkish entrepreneurs with the opportunity to take the stage in London, one of the world's most important financial centers."
