Türkiye’s DIGIAGE platform is set to launch the DIGIAGE MENA Game Accelerator—Jordan in partnership with Amman-based Maysalward, the region’s pioneering mobile game studio, in a move to strengthen regional cooperation and boost the digital gaming ecosystem.
The partnership includes the launch of the DIGIAGE MENA Game Accelerator—Jordan program, dedicated to supporting young game developers in the region through technical, creative, and investment training, with a budget of $250,000 over six months.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat inaugurated the 13th Electronic Game Developers Summit, which hosts the global conference “Aqaba Connects Gamer Pocket,” featuring leading game developers and industry experts from around the world, alongside local and international companies from the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Jordan Gaming Lab signed cooperation agreements with Türkiye’s Digiage and Germany’s Ziska to open new avenues of collaboration in practical training for youth and university students at specialized training centers.
Founded in 2019, DIGIAGE aims to support creators from various disciplines in entering the gaming market in Türkiye, Eastern Europe, and Azerbaijan through training, mentorship, and investment programs.
Since its launch, the platform has organized 10 game development camps, receiving 18,300 applications from 71 cities across 34 countries, with 3,200 participants online and 1,800 in person.
These programs have resulted in the creation of 237 teams and the development of 261 games.
According to the 2024 Startups Watch report, DIGIAGE became the most active investment fund in Türkiye’s gaming sector after completing six investments that year, establishing itself as a dynamic acceleration hub combining education, funding, publishing, marketing, and mentorship.
DIGIAGE has implemented three projects under the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, in partnership with institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway, Lithuania and Serbia.
These projects included organizing game development camps, hackathons, workshops, and study visits, as well as developing training materials, digital platforms, and an international policy document for game developers.
In 2024, the company was selected among Europe’s top seven innovation centers at the EBN Excellence Awards held in Dublin, Ireland.
DIGIAGE also organized game development camps in Baku in 2023 and 2024 and is currently preparing to launch the third edition, scheduled to take place from Dec. 6 to 8, 2025.
