Turkish budget carrier AJet is expanding its international network with three new routes connecting Türkiye to Europe, North Africa and Central Asia—a move that comes just days before Qurban Bayram, also known as Eid al-Adha, which is a public holiday in Türkiye.

The airline, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, launched the new destinations over a three-day period, including direct flights from Ankara to Cairo, Istanbul to Stockholm, and a triangular route linking Istanbul, Ganja and Nakhchivan in Azerbaijan.

Ajet is operational in 58 destinations in 33 countries

With the latest additions, AJet has introduced a total of eight new international routes in the first half of 2025, expanding its overseas operations to 58 destinations in 33 countries.

AJet began flights between Ankara’s Esenboga Airport and Cairo International Airport on June 1, making it the only airline to offer direct service on the route. Flights will run three times a week during the summer travel season.

A day later, AJet inaugurated daily direct flights between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Stockholm Arlanda, adding another major European capital to its network.

On June 3, the airline will begin operating its new Istanbul–Ganja–Nakhchivan route, flying twice weekly between Türkiye and two key cities in Azerbaijan—part of a broader push into the Turkic countries.

AJet has aggressively expanded its footprint since its rebranding earlier this year, targeting underserved routes and capitalizing on regional travel demand.
