Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Nadir Alpaslan said Türkiye's tourism income has grown from $30 billion to $65 billion over the past eight years, and that efforts are underway to extend tourism across 12 months in all 81 provinces.
Alpaslan said Türkiye has achieved significant successes in tourism in recent years. Noting that the country's tourism revenues rose from $30 billion to $65 billion in the past eight years, Alpaslan said Türkiye has become the world's fourth most visited country.
Saying that Türkiye has continued its success in tourism as a safe country despite wars and instability in the region, Alpaslan said tourism makes an important contribution to the country's economy and employment.
Emphasizing that Türkiye has strong potential with its rich tourism products, Alpaslan said their goal is to increase the country's share of world tourism by spreading tourism across 12 months in all 81 provinces.
Stating that work is being carried out in this context under the coordination of the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, established in 2019, Alpaslan said the ministry is working with governorships, local administrations and tourism stakeholders in 81 provinces "to promote each province more strongly and reveal its potential."
Drawing attention to the fact that every region of Türkiye has its own unique tourism values, Alpaslan said people also like to discover the different beauties of their own country.
Pointing to the importance of diversifying tourism, Alpaslan said every corner of the country has "very important potential and riches," from culture to natural beauty, from health tourism to thermal tourism and from winter tourism to congress tourism. "We continue to develop and grow tourism in every corner of Türkiye by turning these into products," he said.

Noting that a suitable environment has emerged for developing tourism across the country, Alpaslan said the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process, a government-led initiative aimed at ending the decades-long conflict with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), is making every point of the country "much safer than ever before," which allows the steps to be taken in tourism to be stronger as well.
"We will soon see that tourism will develop and grow rapidly in every one of our regions," he said.
