Türkiye's tourism revenues reach $46.9B in first 9 months of 2024

Türkiye's tourism revenues totaled $46.9 billion in the first nine months of 2024, up 6.6% year-on-year, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said on Thursday.
The country hosted over 48 million visitors from January to September, rising 8.3% from 2023.
Average expenditures per capita over the same period were $970, down 1.6% from the previous year.

During the third quarter alone, the country generated $23.2 billion in tourism revenue, up 3.9% year-on-year.
A total of 23.2 million people visited Türkiye this July-September, up 3.5%, with their expenditures per capita reaching $1,001.
