Russian tech titan Yandex reported on Wednesday that its Türkiye operations witnessed a robust growth in 2025, with search queries on its search engine up 75% year over year and map services reaching 5.6 million users.
The company reported a sharp rise in the use of its AI-enhanced search assistant "Yazeka," which processed 2.5 times more daily queries than the previous year, while the share of users accessing the tool at least three times a week also doubled.
Between Jan. 1 and Nov. 14, users of Yandex Maps and its integrated navigation services traveled a combined 43.8 billion kilometers across Türkiye.
During the same period, the number of businesses listed on the platform rose by 162.2% compared to the previous year. To enhance user experience, the company introduced high-definition (HD) map features that display detailed road elements such as lane markings, pedestrian crossings, and parking zones.
Additional layers were added to support logistics and mobility needs, including truck navigation, indoor venue mapping, electric vehicle charging station locations, real-time weather updates, and 3D models of prominent landmarks.
The Yandex Go mobility and delivery platform extended its network in 2025 by launching operations in four additional cities—Izmir, Ankara, Mersin, and Adana. The platform facilitated over 10 million trips throughout the year.
A new feature called "T" combined ride-hailing with public transport data and delivery tracking, expanding the service’s coverage. Over 18,000 licensed taxi drivers joined the platform, while the share of cashless payments surpassed 50%.
Yandex also reported gains in its digital advertising segment. Advertiser investment increased by 29% from the previous year, while its Yandex Ads Space platform experienced 3.8 times growth. As of September 2025, 82% of the budgets on Yandex Direct—the company's self-serve ad platform—were managed using AI-based technologies.
Looking ahead, Yandex plans to launch a new-generation application in 2026, designed to integrate emerging AI technologies across its ecosystem. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to deepen AI integration across all service lines.
Planned upgrades include expanding Yandex Go to more cities, introducing new advertising tools, and adding features to maps and navigation services tailored to both individual users and commercial fleet operators.
Yandex International Search CEO and Türkiye General Manager Alexander Popovskiy described 2025 as a pivotal year for the company.
"In 2026, we will maintain our momentum and ensure that our services become more useful, trustworthy, and integrated into Türkiye’s daily digital life," he said.
