The Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Gaziantep has set a new benchmark by welcoming an unprecedented 442,000 visitors in 2024, breaking all previous records even before the year's conclusion.

Gaziantep Governor Kemal Ceber announced the milestone on his X social media account, emphasizing the museum's pivotal role in promoting the city's rich cultural heritage.

Zeugma Mosaic Museum: Rising star in cultural tourism

Governor Ceber highlighted the museum's growing popularity, stating:

Our Zeugma Mosaic Museum has broken its all-time visitor record even before the year ends. Opened on September 9, 2011, the museum, renowned for hosting the largest mosaic display area in the world, has become one of Türkiye's most-visited museums. As of Nov. 25, we have reached a staggering 442,000 annual visitors.

The museum’s unparalleled collection of ancient mosaics, including the iconic "Gypsy Girl," continues to draw both domestic and international attention. Ceber added, “This city will keep making headlines with its rich cultural heritage.”
