Provincial Gendarmerie in Agri's Hamur district seized a 1000-year-old manuscript during an operation against antiquities smuggling
The Provincial Gendarmerie Command carried out an operation in the Hamur district to combat the smuggling of antiquities.
During the operation, the teams confiscated a manuscript book estimated to be approximately 1000 years old from a car. The confiscated book contained Hebrew handwriting and is believed to date back to the medieval period.
Two individuals were detained in connection with the incident.
