A Woman Asleep (Uyuyan Kadin), a film produced entirely using artificial intelligence tools, made its Türkiye debut at the 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, exploring alienation in an age of constant digital connectivity and information overload.
The screening took place at the Perge Hall of the Ataturk Cultural Center in Antalya, where filmmaker Gizem Avcioglu met with audiences for a discussion following the film.
The film examines how constant connectivity and continuous exposure to information can contribute to feelings of alienation in the modern world.
During the post-screening discussion, Avcioglu explained that she had worked with her husband on the film's screenplay and editing, while drawing on experiences from her own life to develop its autobiographical elements.
She also confirmed that the production had been created entirely through artificial intelligence tools.
The screening was part of the festival's broader program of films, discussions and panel sessions, hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
