Evgeny Grinko is set to kick off a new run of concerts across Türkiye on March 10, returning after a period in which his European and Türkiye tours were widely described as sold out. The minimalist piano composer will be meeting audiences across several cities throughout March, with tickets available through Bubilet, an online ticketing platform.
Grinko will start out on March 10 in Corlu at Unal Baysan Cultural Center, before heading to Istanbul for two consecutive appearances: March 11 at Bostanci Show Center and March 13 at Lutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center. He will then move on to central Türkiye, playing on March 15 in Kayseri at Kadir Has Show and Culture Center, and wrapping up on March 16 in Sivas at 4 Eylul Cultural Center.
The artist has been described as composing from inspirations that range from nature and cats to childhood memories and old fairy tales, an approach that has helped shape his recognisable minimalist piano sound.
His live shows have also been framed as performance-forward, with Grinko being known to play multiple instruments on stage, including piano, guitar, and drums.
Born in 1984 in Zhukovsky, Russia, Grinko first took up music by playing drums in a punk rock style. His direction later shifted, with the source text describing a turn toward piano and classical music at age 22, which then set off a deeper musical journey.
As part of that evolution, he also drew attention in orchestration through an arrangement of Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” for a military band, which the text points to as a key turning point.
Among the releases highlighted, the album “Tiny Mouse Tales” is presented as a creative peak, with Grinko having been described as aiming to bring back the atmosphere of old tales he knew from vinyl records and to put together a fairy-tale-like listening experience.
The source describes Grinko as having built up a special connection with audiences in Türkiye through his concerts, noting that he has spoken of enjoying the warm reactions and audience interaction.
It also states that his Türkiye story has been broadened through collaborations with Turkish artists, including Fuat from the band MFO and singer-songwriter Mabel Matiz.
One of Grinko’s best-known pieces in Türkiye is “Valse,” which the text describes as a memorable work built around enchanting piano melodies and emotionally deep arrangements that draw listeners into a graceful dance-like feeling.
