Flash TV is undergoing a rebrand as an entertainment channel following its acquisition by Safe Media, the production company behind the film "Catli."

The company, now making its first move into television, said the channel's lineup will feature original entertainment shows, competitions, music and cultural programming, films, series, lifestyle content and productions tailored to a range of age groups.

Toward national entertainment channel

Seyfi Sahin, chairman of Safe Media's board, said the channel will be rebuilt around family-friendly programming.

"Flash TV has a strong legacy and high brand recognition in Turkish television," Sahin said.

"We will position it as a strong national entertainment channel with quality content that families can watch together, in line with our social and cultural values.

Our goal is to strengthen shared family viewing, support original formats, bring different generations together around the same screen, and deliver a quality entertainment experience."

Sahin said Safe Media also plans to upgrade the channel's technical and broadcast infrastructure, expand its content offerings, and grow its presence on digital platforms in addition to traditional TV.

'Scent of the Wind' joins upcoming projects

The company, previously partnered with Global Pictures and now expanding from film production into distribution, said it is developing new film projects.

It announced it is developing new film projects, including "Mahi: Kara Fatma," "Karadeniz Guzeli," "Ben Sana İnaniyorum," and "Catlı 2," along with a TV series titled "Ruzgarin Kokusu" ("The Scent of the Wind").

"Catli 2," a sequel to the 2025 film, is scheduled for release on Oct. 30, 2026, distributed by A90 Pictures and directed by Deniz Enyuksek.
