HBO announced three new additions to the cast of its "Harry Potter" television series ahead of the show's second season. The network made the announcement through its social media accounts.
Rafe Spall has been cast as Arthur Weasley, the father of central character Ron Weasley and an employee of the Ministry of Magic.
Molly Hewitt-Richards will portray Moaning Myrtle, a ghost who resides in a girls' bathroom at Hogwarts. Jasper Ambrose has been cast as Colin Creevey, a Gryffindor student known for his admiration of Harry Potter and for following him with a camera.
Spall's father, Timothy Spall, previously appeared in the original "Harry Potter" film series as the villain Peter Pettigrew.

HBO had previously announced additional casting for the second season. Billy Barratt will play a young version of Tom Riddle, Lenny Rush will voice the character Dobby, and Bonnie Hill will portray Ginny Weasley.
The network had earlier said Nicholas Hoult was set to play Gilderoy Lockhart, but the role later went to Kit Harington because of scheduling conflicts.
The series adapts J.K. Rowling's seven-book "Harry Potter" franchise and reintroduces the story with a new cast. The first season is based on the franchise's first book, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone."
The eight-episode first season is scheduled to premiere on December 25 on HBO, with streaming availability on HBO Max in regions where the service operates.
Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry Potter in the new series, alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
