The legendary British rock band The Rolling Stones has announced the release of its 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, scheduled for July 10.
The forthcoming album follows 2023’s Hackney Diamonds, which marked the band’s return to studio recording after an 18-year gap and achieved commercial success in multiple countries.
Alongside the announcement, the band released a new single titled In The Stars. Promotional material shared online showed the core members, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, working in a recording studio. The album is produced in part by Andrew Watt and will feature guest appearances from Paul McCartney and Robert Smith.
The group also appeared at a promotional event in New York hosted by Conan O'Brien, where they discussed the album making and previewed new material.
Speculation surrounding the release intensified following the band’s recent limited vinyl release under the alias “The Cockroaches,” a name previously used for surprise performances. The track, Rough And Twisted, was seen by fans as a precursor to the new album announcement.
No accompanying tour has been confirmed. Reports from the promotional event indicate that touring was discussed but ultimately not pursued due to the band members’ age and health.
