The 62nd Annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Convention 2025 took place in Chicago with great enthusiasm from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. Bringing together Muslims from across North America, the event also highlighted Turkish Muslim publishers showcasing their works.
Among them, gofreebooks.com, a free online platform for Islamic literature, attracted significant attention with its collection of religious classics.
Visitors were drawn to the Gofreebooks booth, where numerous works by renowned Islamic scholars were on display.
Young attendees were pleasantly surprised as the platform offered many of these books as gifts, fostering an atmosphere of warmth, friendship, and shared love for knowledge.
Türkiye is home to thousands of works written during the Ottoman period and earlier centuries. Many of these works on Islamic sciences are preserved in historical libraries such as the Suleymaniye Manuscripts Library, the Nuruosmaniye Library, and the Beyazit Library.
These institutions house original copies of classic works by prominent scholars like Imam Rabbani (Ahmad Sirhindi), Imam Muhammad al-Ghazali, and Muhammad Amin Ibn Abidin.

Huseyin Hilmi Isik, a specialist in these manuscripts, has spent many years translating and producing printed editions, making these timeless Islamic classics accessible beyond library shelves.
His works are published by Hakikat Bookstore.
Available in over 50 languages, the books offered through Gofreebooks.com are rich in content and cover the core teachings of Islam as presented by historic Muslim scholars.
The platform operates under the principle that religious knowledge is not subject to copyright, a tradition maintained throughout the Islamic world, especially during the Ottoman era.
Historically, fees were applied only when custom manuscripts were requested or specific printing and paper costs were involved.
The ISNA convention provided the perfect platform for Gofreebooks to introduce these invaluable cultural treasures to a wider audience, emphasizing that Islamic knowledge belongs to everyone.
