Guests arrive throughout the day at the lavender garden, many traveling from neighboring provinces and other cities.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca opens the festival by outlining the municipality's environmental approach, noting that the area once served as a rubble dumping site before being transformed into a green space for the city.

Adjacent to the garden sits Mevlana Rose Park, home to roughly 190 rose varieties, which the municipality developed as a companion green space to the lavender garden.
