Global music stars set for Istanbul summer stage

Istanbul is set to host a series of high-profile international concerts throughout May and June, featuring artists ranging from classical tenors to heavy metal legends across the city's major venues.

Bocelli takes stage at Besiktas Tupras Stadyumu

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform at Besiktas Tupras Stadyumu on May 31 as part of his "Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour."

The concert marks the 30th anniversary of "Romanza," Bocelli's first internationally released compilation album, which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and is widely regarded as a turning point in his global career.

Turkish pop star Kenan Dogulu will share the stage with Bocelli at the event. Cellist Jodok Cello, known in the music world as the "barefoot cellist," will also perform.

The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will provide the musical backbone of the concert, organized in collaboration with NTRteam and produced by AEG Presents.

All tickets sold out shortly after going on sale, though a limited number of additional seats were briefly made available due to high demand.

Kanye West at Ataturk Olympic Stadium

Grammy-winning American rapper Kanye West will perform at Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Basaksehir on May 31. Organized by ILS Vision, the event is expected to draw approximately 120,000 attendees.

The program includes pre-and post-concert parties, DJ sets, laser and light shows, and additional performances. Turkish artists Yener Cevik, Mavi, Sena Sener, and Pera are also on the lineup.

Travis Scott at Tersane Istanbul

Hip hop artist Travis Scott will take the stage at Tersane Istanbul on May 31. DJ and producer Faruk Sabanci will open the show. The event, organized by TemaCC, is expected to host approximately 2,500 attendees, with doors opening at 4 p.m.

Alessandro Safina and Burak Yeter at Harbiye

Italian tenor Alessandro Safina and Turkish DJ and producer Burak Yeter will share the stage at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Acikhava Tiyatrosu on June 5.

Spanish singers Cecilia Krull and Cristina Ramos will join Safina as special guests. The Cinema Symphony Orchestra will also perform at the event, organized by Musicarium and Y Kultur Sanat.

Max Korzh at Besiktas Tupras Stadyumu

Belarusian artist Max Korzh will perform at the Besiktas Tuzlaspor Stadium on June 6. Known for blending rap, hip-hop, pop, and rock, Korzh has built a following of millions.

The concert is expected to include hits such as "The Sky Will Help Us," "Live High," "Optimist," "Control" and "Raznesem (Crash the Stadium)." Flights from Russia to Istanbul saw notable demand in the lead-up to the event, with several routes selling out.

Alice Cooper at Istanbul Lifepark

American rock artist Alice Cooper, 78, will perform at Istanbul Lifepark on June 13. Organized by Neo Events, the concert spans more than 5 decades of a career. Cooper is expected to perform classics including "School's Out," "Poison," "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "I'm Eighteen," alongside tracks from his albums "Detroit Stories" and "Road."

Megadeth at Kucukciftlik Park

American thrash metal band Megadeth will perform at KucukCiftlik Park on June 23. The concert will feature both fan favorites and material from the band's more recent work.

Scorpions close out the month

German rock band Scorpions will perform at the Besiktas Tuzlaspor Stadium on June 24. With a career spanning more than 60 years and millions of albums sold worldwide, the band is expected to perform iconic tracks such as "Wind of Change," "Still Loving You," and "Rock You Like a Hurricane."

Moby at Zorlu PSM

Electronic music artist Moby will perform at Zorlu Performans Sanatlari Merkezi Turkcell Sahnesi on June 29 as part of the "PSM Loves Summer by %100 Muzik" series. The setlist is expected to include "Porcelain," "Natural Blues," and "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?"

Three Days Grace close June at Kucukciftlik Park

Canadian rock band Three Days Grace will wrap up the month at KucukCiftlik Park on June 30. Known for their alternative rock and post-grunge sound, the band will make one of its first appearances in Istanbul.

Ragheb Alama at Volkswagen Arena

Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama will perform at Volkswagen Arena on June 19. One of the most recognized names in Arab pop music, Alama is expected to perform career highlights including "Alby Asheqha," "Elli Baana," "Naseeni Eldonia," and "Tab Leh."
