The Basilica Therma Roman Bath in the Sarikaya district of Türkiye's Yozgat province, which is around 2,000 years old, now welcomes visitors in the evenings as well.
Known locally as the "King's Daughter" bath, the site is on UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List, a preliminary list that countries submit before a site can be considered for full status.
According to a local legend, the bath got its name after the ailing daughter of a king from Kayseri regained her health in its thermal waters.
The thermal water has a temperature of about 50 degrees Celsius, and the Roman-era architecture has survived to the present day.
New lighting around the structure allows visitors to see the bath after dark, while a cafe and tea garden next to it, now run by the Sarikaya Municipality, offers a place to sit.
The work is part of a project carried out with contributions from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Yozgat Governorship, and efforts continue to add the bath to UNESCO's permanent list.
Visitors have praised the evening atmosphere, and plans for the area include a shopping center selling local souvenirs and facade renovations on nearby Marangoz Street.
