Adverse weather conditions in the Northern Aegean have led to disruptions in maritime transportation, prompting cancellations of several ferry services between the mainland and the islands of Bozcaada and Gokceada.

The company (GESTAS) operating ferry services across the Canakkale Strait and to the Aegean islands, announced that strong winds and rough seas have necessitated adjustments to the scheduled crossings.

According to the statement:

  • Geyikli–Bozcaada Route: All ferry services scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled due to adverse weather conditions. Departures from Geyikli at 8 a.m., as well as from Bozcaada at 7 a.m., will operate, while all other crossings on this route are suspended.
  • Kabatepe–Gokceada Route: Only select services will operate. Ferries departing from Kabatepe at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., and from Gokceada at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., will run as planned; all other scheduled services have been canceled.

The company emphasized that ferry services on other routes remain unaffected. Passengers are advised to verify schedules prior to travel to avoid disruptions.
