An English citizen, identified as Mentor Rama, lost his life in Istanbul after undergoing both a hair transplant and dental procedures.
Rama, originally from Albania but holding British citizenship, arrived in Türkiye last week for cosmetic treatments. He first visited Dymed Hair Clinic, a private center in Istanbul, where he underwent a hair transplant.
Following the procedure, he checked into a hotel in the Sisli district, one of the city’s central areas known for its medical tourism facilities.
The next day, he went to Aqua Dental Clinic, located in the Vadi Istanbul complex, for dental treatment. After returning to his hotel, he began to feel unwell.
Emergency services were called, and he was taken to a nearby hospital, but despite all medical efforts, he passed away on 11 November.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The body was transferred to the Council of Forensic Medicine (Adli Tip Kurumu) in Istanbul for autopsy procedures to determine the cause of death.
Following the examination, Rama’s remains were handed over to his family and repatriated to his home country.
