Didem Belen has announced the end of her nearly yearlong relationship with celebrity chef Somer Sivrioglu, accusing him of infidelity and claiming she was threatened with having her social media account shut down unless she removed her public statements.
Belen shared the allegations on social media, suggesting that another woman had played a role in the breakup and claiming that similar issues had previously affected their relationship.
In her social media post, Belen suggested that the same woman had been involved in Sivrioglu's life during his previous marriage and engagement, although she did not directly name the chef when making the allegations.
Expressing frustration over the alleged recurrence of the situation, Belen wrote, "Huylu huyundan maalesef ki vazgecmiyor," a Turkish expression meaning that someone unfortunately cannot change their ways.
Her statements suggested that the relationship had broken down over circumstances she claimed had also caused problems in the past.
Beyond the infidelity allegations, Belen claimed she had been threatened with having her social media account shut down if she refused to delete her post.
Although she did not identify who allegedly made the threat, she asked her followers to make the situation known if her account became inaccessible.
The allegations surfaced after the couple had previously drawn attention over their plans to marry. Sivrioglu had proposed to Belen in the snow at Palandoken, a well-known winter sports destination in eastern Türkiye.
The couple had reportedly been preparing for marriage before Belen publicly announced their separation.
Sivrioglu has not issued a public statement addressing Belen's allegations.
