A new Turkish vertical drama that tells its story in episodes of just two to three minutes premiered at a flood-hit gala in Istanbul.
The cast of "Konu Komsu," which roughly translates to "Neighbors and Gossip," gathered at Biletinial Torun Center Cinemas, where the first five episodes were screened. Stars Riza Kocaoglu, Busra Pekin and Tuana Naz Tiryaki were among those present.
Floodwater swamped the event as heavy rain hit Istanbul, but the cast still turned out and the first five episodes were screened.
Directed by Bora Tekay, the series was written by Okan Basar Bahar, Gorkem Tuzun and Eray Yasin Isik. It follows people from different generations and cultural backgrounds who live in the same luxury residential complex.
Producers say it is among the first vertical series in Türkiye to run without a break for a full season, from October through June. Each episode lasts two to three minutes, but the short installments are designed to build one continuing story.
The series is free to watch on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The gala was held at Biletinial Torun Center Cinemas, with stars Riza Kocaoglu, Busra Pekin and Tuana Naz Tiryaki were among those present.
